Langley Archive & Research Center

Discover Your History Here!

The Langley Archive and Research Center is now open and excited to help with all of your genealogical research. Our professional staff and volunteers are here to assist you with extensive research skills and a vast genealogical library.

Our hours of operation are TUESDAY and THURSDAY from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.

Schedule your appointment today by calling (360) 221-3323 or (360) 678-3310.

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, LARC will be closed until April 30th. However, we would like to take this opportunity to help you get started researching your family's history (for a modest fee). Please take some time to check out the Basics of Genealogy PowerPoint located below to find the information WE need to get you started on your journey.  If you have any questions about pricing or wish to use our services, please contact Cassie Rittierodt at arc-ichs@whidbey.net or Maureen MacDonald at bymo@whidbey.com. We look forward to hearing from you, Thanks!

We are located next door to the South Whidbey Community Center in historic Langley, Washington.

Some of our offerings include:

  • Online access to ancestry.com, fold3, family search and newspapers.com

  • Genealogy Library

  • South Whidbey Pioneer family files

  • Genealogical research and mentoring

  • Genealogy workshops and classes

LARC is currently taking research book donations. We are asking for books that are in good condition and will help us provide access to genealogical history on a local, state, and national level. Types of books that we would like to receive are:

  • U.S. State History

  • Genealogy

  • South Whidbey

  • Island County

  • Pacific Northwest

  • Historical Research

Have books that you would like to donate? Please call (360) 221-3323 or e-mail arc-ichs@whidbey.net.
