Donate an Artifact

The Island County Historical Society collects artifacts that tell the story of Whidbey Island and Camano Island from time immemorial to present day. Artifacts include 3D objects, photographs, oral histories, film, books, maps, clothing, and much more.

Acquisitions decisions are often weighed against existing holdings and physical space limitations—prioritizing gaps that need to be filled in the collection as well as items useful to exhibits and/or education.

People wishing to donate an artifact to ICHS should fill out the Donate an Artifact form or call 360-678-3310. A Collections staff member will respond to your donation offer and schedule an appointment at the Island County Historical Society (Coupeville Museum).

Materials mailed without prior warning or left at the museum may be disposed of or transferred as the museum determines appropriate, without contacting the sender.
